About ARCITECH

ARCITECH is a small architecture and visualization studio in Calgary. We build interactive walk-throughs: places you can explore, change as you go, and understand before a single wall goes up.
Our next chapter uses the same craft to preserve and revive architecture: buildings that are fading, damaged or already lost, rebuilt as places people can visit again, for their communities, for visitors and for the next generation.
Along the way we build our own software, and we give it away. It runs on your own computer, keeps your drawings in your office, and comes with the lessons we learned making it, so a student, a small practice or a town museum can do the same. We are also designing local AI systems for other fields and any size of team, with the budget as the starting point.
We do the development work: designing, updating and improving the tools, so people who do not write software can use them as the platform for their own work. And we build them to run well on hardware people already own, including older and lower-end machines, so good computers get a longer life instead of being replaced.
We are not interested in pictures made to impress. We care about work that helps people decide, remember and learn, and about technology that is affordable, private and on their side.
Our roadmapOur principles
- 01
Made to be used
Everything we make has to help a real decision on a real project. If it only looks impressive, we leave it out.
- 02
Within reach
We design our tools around hardware people can afford, and we publish what we have tested. Good work should not need a data centre.
- 03
Reuse, not replace
We bring powerful features to lower-end and older hardware, so the machines you already have keep working for years.
- 04
Yours stays yours
Your drawings and your clients stay in your office. Nothing is uploaded unless you choose to share it.
- 05
Shared openly
We publish our tools and teach what we learn, so others can build on it.
